Twitter is a social networking site that allows you to communicate with friends, family and celebrities. The main goal of Twitter is to keep the users up to date with the lastest celebrity gossip, local and worldwide news and debatable topics.
Event The Event I have choosen to base this assignment on is a dog walk for charity. I have named this event The Walk for Paws. To create this event I will be using the social networking site, Twitter.
Using Twitter for the Walk for Paws Event I have choosen Twitter to help create my event as it would appeal to both young and older people who love dogs to follow and take part in the event. The followers would be able to keep up to date with what is happening before, during and after the event takes place. This way they can learn about where the money that is raised would go and how it would benefit the dogs. Twitter followers can spread the event through to their friends in the area which will result in more people turning up to the event and more money raised for the cause.

How A Peer Can Contribute Anyone can contribute to Twitter as it is a free to use social networking site that allows you follow your interests. After creating a Twitter account, the users will be able to follow their favorite celebrities, politicians, television shows, friends and many more people that may interest them. The users of Twitter can upload their own pictures, videos and tweets and express their views to other twitter users. Tweeting is updating a status in which the user can tag friends, celebrities or relevant information. Other users can then reply back to you or share your tweet with their followers. Events can be created on Twitter and then the users can spread the event around to others who may be interested in taking part. The Walk for Paws event can be shared on Twitter which will result in more people participating.
